Quartz Sand 40 kg per Bag
Quartz sand is nearly round in grain shape and has a generally smooth surface. It is preferred for use as the bottom layer in dual media filters and also for use in single-layer filtration. Silica sand, also known as quartz sand, white sand, or industrial sand, is made up of two main elements: silica and oxygen. Specifically, silica sand is made up of silicon dioxide (SiO2). The most common form of SiO2 is quartz – a chemically inert and relatively hard mineral.
Coarse quartz gravel, i.e. grain sizes > 2 mm, is available for use as support gravel.
